Human growth hormone: Does it slow aging? Some describe human growth hormone as the key to slowing the aging process. Learn about these claims. Written by Mayo Clinic staff.
This natural slowing has triggered interest in the use of synthetic human growth hormone (HGH) as a way to prevent some of the changes linked to aging, such as decreased muscle and bone mass.
If you find that hard to believe, no problem. There is little evidence to suggest that human growth hormone can help otherwise healthy adults regain youth and vitality. Alternatively, treatments with this hormone may increase the risk of other diseases manifesting themselves. Experts recommend against using it to treat aging or age-related conditions.
Adults who have a growth hormone deficiency (not the normal deterioration of the hormone due to aging) may be prescribed synthetic human growth hormone by their health care provider.

Glycine Saponin, also known as Soy Glycine Germ Extract, is an active ingredient extracted from Soybeans. It is one of the most effective stimulators of Hyaluronic Acid in the cells of the dermal layer of the skin and has been shown to increase Hyaluronic Acid production by up to 256% at the cellular level*.
Hyaluronic Acid is produced by skin cells and is part of the skin’s connective tissue. One of its key functions is to retain moisture, and it has the ability to bind between 1,000 and 10,000 times its own weight in water (i.e. one gram binds between one and ten liters). As we age, the skin’s natural ability to produce Hyaluronic Acid is depleted and wrinkles begin to form and deepen.
Enoxolone, also known as Glycyrrhetinic Acid, comes from the roots of Chinese licorice plants. It inhibits the Hyaluronic Acid degrading enzyme hyaluronidase (HYAL1) and thus the degradation of the skin’s own Hyaluronic Acid by more than 50%.
