Dehydrated skin care routine

MY SKIN CARE ROUTINE 2022 More
Even if you don't wear makeup every day, you should still take care of your skin. Moisturizer is one of the most important steps in any morning beauty routine, and generally speaking, everyone should use one, regardless of their skin type, says Dr. Annie Chiu, board-certified dermatologist at The Derm Institute in California. "Moisturizer keeps skin from drying out by retaining water in the outermost layer," she explains. "Without this moisture, we would age faster and the skin would not look supple."
"Effective moisturizers for dry skin typically contain a mixture of water for hydration, an occlusive to block further water evaporation and humectants to attract more water," says Herschthal Heber.
This Skinceuticals moisturizer may be expensive, but both Frank and Herschthal Heber recommend it for its name; it has ceramides, cholesterol and fatty acids to help restore the skin's moisture barrier.
Ideal for oily and sensitive skin types, this editor-favorite formula uses niacinamide probiotics and oat seed extract to provide non-greasy, non-glossy hydration that sinks instantly into skin.
Eau Thermale Avène - How to apply the Moisturizing Mask
You may already know that I am not in favor of using gels or soaps on the skin, because the components are very strong and remove everything from it, which is not good, because they dehydrate it. This is because the ph of the skin is acidic, in fact what protects it is called "acid mantle", which if we mistreat it we end up with skin problems ranging from dehydration to acne and rosacea (which of course do not occur only because of this).
When I get out of the shower I immediately apply this rose water from the Chilean brand Di Nonna Eco, which is the best I've tried. Broadly speaking, the toner's function is to re-balance the skin, leaving it at the ph it should be, which may have been changed by cleansers and hot water, so that the creams and treatments you apply afterwards can really work (or work to their full potential).
I am a total fan of moisturizing serums. Especially Korean ones, as I believe there are no better formulations than theirs on the market. Moisturizing is necessary for all skin, whether dry or oily, as it is the water that skin needs to be healthy and look smooth and beautiful, and not to age prematurely. We should not confuse hydration (water) with moisturization (oils and emollients). One of the things that has changed my skin the most is using this type of serum, and being clear about the difference between the skin's need for water and oil (for example, I know that my skin cannot live without this step, but in summer I skip the one that comes next).

ASMR My Skincare Routine
On previous occasions I have written about the steps of the Korean facial routine, about skin types, facts to clarify concepts, what ingredients to look for, and I even did a "Starter kit" or beginner's kit post, to get you in the mood.
But, you should not give up because although it is difficult to find "the" ultimate product when you are starting out or when you have certain specific problems (acne, sensitivity, rosacea, allergies) with patience and knowing your skin you can find products that work for you and do wonders for your skin.
Dry skin is characterized by very low sebum production, which is why it is rougher to the touch. Because there is little sebum, the skin is unable to retain water (hydration) to maintain optimal levels. You can recognize it if it feels tight, feels dry to the touch, looks dull and there are more wrinkles or expression lines than usual. Dry skin may also have flaking, redness and an uneven appearance in texture.
Oily skin is skin that has an overproduction of sebum, which is noticeable on the surface, looks shiny and is slippery to the touch. You may also notice that your face shines a lot and you see sebum on your skin, your pores look dilated and you tend to have a lot of acne breakouts or blackheads.
